Campaign Story

My name is Sarah McKinney and I am married to my wonderful husband, Grant. Currently, we have one five-pound yorkie, which is our fur baby. In October of 2021, after five years of marriage, we decided that It was time for us to try to start our family. In May of 2022, I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) due to a couple of cysts found. In November of 2022, since we still had not become pregnant, we qualified to begin taking oral fertility medications. In May of 2023, after taking oral medication and following a strict PCOS diet, we still had not become successful. I was then diagnosed with Endometriosis and had surgery to remove that. In August of 2023, with my tubes being open, no signs of cysts, and endometriosis removal, we began to get more aggressive and try with IUI. After four rounds of failed attempts with IUI, we have now began the process of IVF, which is the only hope the doctor has given us.

Since our insurance does not cover infertility at all, we have already been out thousands of dollars with testing, medicine, and procedures. We are in the processing of doing other local fundraising in our local community, as well. We are determined to get Baby McKinney here and will do whatever it takes!
